Lancashire Limousines promote new fire engine limo

Article from www.lancashirelimos.co.uk website and promoted by www.baylimos.co.uk
Lancaster man to hire out his Fire Engine
FIRED UP: Gary Younger with his fire engine.

AFTER a year-long battle and more than £26,000 investment, a Lancaster man has secured a licence to hire his fire engine out for parties.
Gary Younger, from Chequers Avenue, has finally been given the all clear to run his Fire 4 Hire business after the city council granted him a licence.Mr Younger now plans to rent out the vehicle for children's parties and other events, alongside offering a bouncy castle and water games centre at his White Lund compound. At a city council licensing meeting last Thursday, Mr Younger said: "This is not
an emergency vehicle that will be travelling around at speed."We are not interested in taking stag parties and parking up outside clubs blocking the one-way system. We want to run a venture that caters for children's parties. I just want to run a genuine business."I have had 12 months of people interested in bookings, and have had 12 months of no profit and no return, but I wanted to do everything by the book."Mr Younger first applied to Lancaster City Council for a licence to operate the ex-Hornby fire engine in 2006, but due to its size was told his application should go to the North West Traffic Commissioner. However, after a public inquiry, commissioner Beverley Bell decided it was in fact a matter for the city council.Mr Younger's private hire vehicle licence was approved with conditions. For more information or to book a party at Fire 4 Hire call 07982 300 826

Ferrari limo hire manchester

The owner of the world’s fastest limousine — a Ferrari that can travel at speeds of up to 166mph — is facing legal action for infringing the Ferrari trademark.
Dan Cawley, 36, of Cheadle, Manchester, has 14 days to remove all prancing horse badges, Ferrari names and “360 Modena” symbols from the 6m (20ft) car. “What kind of precedent does it set when you can’t do what you like with your own property?” asked Mr Cawley.
Lawyers say that since Mr Cawley cut the 360 Modena in half and inserted a 3m (9.5ft) section of hand-built carbon fibre, the car is no longer a Ferrari.

Blackpool limo hire wish come true for jean thanks to Lancashire Limos

Jean Steel raises a glass to say thanks for her Blackpool trip of a lifetime
BRAVE cancer sufferer Jean Steel is back on home ground after an emotional trip of a lifetime to Blackpool.
The 42-year-old mother-of-five has been left delighted but drained by the weekend's events but took the time to thank everyone involved in the mammoth fundraising effort.Kind-hearted fundraisers made it possible for terminally ill Jean, to experience a weekend to remember in the famous resort. The 42-year-old mother-of-five said: "I have had a brilliant time. I loved every minute of it."The Mail spoke to Jean on Sunday night as she made her way back to Hartlepool with 13 family members. Over the two days the family were given the red carpet treatment and took in a whole host of attractions from the Blackpool Tower to Sea World, the circus, the zoo and even lunch with the town mayor. But for Jean the highlight of the weekend was being invited to switch on the Blackpool illuminations for a sneak preview display. She said: "I could not believe it when all the lights went on, it was a completely different world When I saw them go on I forgot all my troubles." Jean, who used to work in a crisp factory, made the trip with her husband, Raymond, 51, and children Maria, 13, Raymond, 12, Shauna-Leigh, 11, Tia-Leioni, eight, and six-year-old Kevin. Her sister, June Martin, 42, also of Milbank Road, and her husband Eddie, 50, also joined them and their two children Kristen, 13, and Iris, 16 and another niece, Jodie Watson, 16. Her husband's cousin, Micky Ashley, 49, also came along with his fiancée, Jean Cooper, 44. The group were whisked around the town in two stretch limousines from www.lancashirelimos.co.uk complete with champagne on ice and took in the Blackpool tower before returning to their hotel. "We went in one and the children went in another. There was even a bottle of alcohol -free champagne for the children, they had thought of everything. The children also had a disco in their limo," said Jean. On Saturday morning the family went for a walk along the front before a trip to the town zoo before an all-important appointment with the town mayor. Jean said: "The mayor was fantastic, very polite and very well liked. He greeted all the family."Afterward
s the family went to see the town circus which "the kids loved", said Jean, before the mayor met up with them again to present Jean with a commemorative shield and the children with pins. On Saturday afternoon the family enjoyed a visit the Sea Life Centre and went back to the hotel for a roast dinner. On Sunday Jean was struck down with sickness and could not join the children on the fair ground rides but stayed in the hotel to rest. She said: "It dampened my spirits a bit, I felt as though I was letting them down but they said that I had not. "I think I had over done it. I was feeling sick but I did not let it ruin it." The trip was made possible after £5,000 was raised after a drive was started by staff at Hartlepool's Streamline Taxis. Jean said: "I'm overwhelmed. I can't thank everyone enough. I would like to thank every single person who made it possible."
